CASWELL - Kathryn Anne
1977 - 2007

Kathryn Anne Caswell passed away suddenly on Friday, February 2, 2007 at the age of 29 years. She is survived by her parents, Greg and Terry Caswell of Bragg Creek, and her brother, Rob and wife Morgan, of Calgary. Also mourning her loss are grandparents, uncles and aunts, cousins and great-uncles in Alberta, BC, Ontario, and the USA.

Kate has a passion for community and the outdoors that started at a young age, from her first camping trip at six months to skiing and sailing with the family to her passion for gardening. she joined girl guides in Calgary, and was later a Beaver leader in Bragg Creek. Kate also volunteered her time organizing child care for the local community groups and fund-raising and coordinating fund-raisers for various charities.

After graduating from Springbank Community High School, Kate attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, following in her father's footsteps to earn a Diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology. She worked locally with a well testing company before joining Greg's consulting firm in 2006. Kathryn was becoming an accomplished well test analyst and was learning reservoir simulation under her Dad's guidance. She was a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and was in the process of becoming a member of ASET.

Kate enjoyed her free time in the outdoors, spending much of it camping in Kananaskis and four-wheeling in McLean Creek. With a bright smile and infectious laugh, Kate will be missed by all who knew her, and she loved them all.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 12. We are collecting stories of Kate to publish in a memory book. Please send yours to kate.memories (at) gmail.com.
