Dear Lord, Will Someone Please Get Me Some Buckley's?
Hey, I live - sort of. Terrible chest / sinus cold thing going on, but nothing some good ol' fashion OTC drugs can't cure. Or at least mask, and lead me in to sweet oblivion.
Apparently, even posting once a month was too much for me. Didn't feel very wordy, I suppose. Or literate - I haven't read anyone else's blogs in just as long.
Things are well. I had an interview yesterday for what we shall call 'HR Career Prospect #2' (nobody from Prospect #1 has called me back). It was probably one of the shortest (or maybe just comfortable?) first interviews I have ever been in. The interviewer asked every question on her sheet and made detailed notes, but the questions seemed more like what I'm used to getting on a telephone interview. More like, 'why HR' and 'why the change' instead of the usual behaviour-based scenarios I'm used to. I will say it was not very threatening, and I have a good vibe off of it.
Speaking of HR and the schooling... I thought I had six months to register in another AU course to be current. Turns out it's a year, which is nice because I can complete my certificate and write my CHRP before I head back down that path. And it just might be time to change my program from the current B.Admin to a B.HR... the newer program may give me more credit for the certificate, and more flexibility in the courses I take. Less industrial relations, more strategic HR, well, strategy. Anyway, back to MRC at the end of February (loooong break! I miss it!), and we shall go from there.
Soon I will update this here blog... and read others as part of my daily / weekly / bi-weekly (let's be realistic now!) ramblings.
Seven has always been a lucky number, especially for me. 2007 is so far a pretty lucky year.
-R.
