Surfacing for Air - Just in Time for Octobermas!
Not that I've been terribly busy or anything. Just not wanting to be in front of a computer after staring at one all day. Though I do need to write.
My days have been spent working, watching television, lounging on the couch, working at the Squadron, cleaning house, and sleeping. Ah, yes, sleeping. I do love thee.
I saw a great movie last night. I really like it anway. Elizabethtown. Doesn't it just sound like a place you'd want to visit?
It started a little slow, but I felt it was extremely well-written. Kirsten Dunst was in a fantastic role for herself, and really held the movie together - even though she was technically the supporting character to Orlando Bloom.
Anyway, you know how sometimes there is a part in the movie where they could end it, and all would be okay? But they through in a crappy epilogue that really destroys everything?
Well, Elizabethtown has an epilogue, too. But a really freakin' good one, that the movie would almost be shallow without.
Highly recommended. I'd even pay to see it again.
Moving on... well, not much else to say. Work is great. Going to a show tonight on them (woot!). And only seven more days until the festival of Octobermas! It's going to be grand.
I had coffee with my sister this morning - I'm really hoping now that the unpleasantness is gone, we can forge a bond. I'm trying, at least. She really is better off now, and she knows it. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what she does about it. Sort of like having a winning lottery ticket, and not claiming the prize. I'm praying she doesn't get stuck.
Have a great Saturday, everyone. Sunday too. I don't discriminate.
-R.
